Position Summary West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation is an award winning developer of affordable housing in the City of West Hollywood and the greater Los Angeles area. As part of the Resident Services Department, the Resident Service Coordinator (RSC) position will provide a wide array of wrap around services and programs to low income, at risk and formerly homeless families and older adults at our Los Angeles area properties in Pico Union. This position reports to the Director of Resident Services and Lead RSC, as needed, and works closely with property management providing the links between residents, programs, and services which support their ability to continue living self-sufficiently in permanent housing. Duties and Responsibilities Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • The RSC works closely with the Property Management functions of the corporation to identify residents who need assistance, to support resident retention, and to foster and build community. • Provides outreach- prevention strategies and onsite programs to the resident community; works with the Resident Services department to develop the intervention strategies for “at risk” residents, including hoarding, financial instability, isolation, adult and child trauma, etc. • Establish contact with residents and conduct assessments on a regular basis to monitor the physical and mental health status of residents and to refer residents to the appropriate service provider. • Maintain a service provider referral network for residents – establish effective relationships with agencies that provide mental health services, in-home support, health care services, case management, and financial support. • Confer with on-site resident property managers to review specific support needs of individual residents and general needs of the residential community. • Assist new residents and property management staff with moving in and moving out, including a “Welcome Packet” for new residents. • Work with property management staff to mitigate lease enforcement issues or conditions that could lead to evictions. • Organize and maintain resident files; maintain records for program compliance and reporting. • Participate and attend community meetings and trainings pertinent to family and older adult programs and development. • Under supervision and working with the Lead Resident Services Coordinator and the Director of Resident Services, set monthly goals and targets, and track progress towards achieving outcomes. • Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, abilities, and skills . • Knowledge of family and older adult services relating to service coordination including mental health issues, domestic violence issues, parent-child relationships, etc. • Knowledge and experience working with at risk and formerly homeless families. • Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills, and excellent writing skills. • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with community social service and health services providers in the City and County of Los Angeles. • Creative ideas for program development, implementation and assessment preferred. • Proficient skills and knowledge of, or willingness to learn databases for documentation and reporting (e.g., HMIS, ClientTrack). • Ability to handle a wide array of resident issues and provides conflict resolutions. • Highly motivated, self-sufficient and a team player. • Ability to lift up to10 lbs. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor of Social Work or degree in a related field • Two years of experience providing case management to low income, homeless or formerly homeless families and older adults preferred. • Korean speaker preferred. • Valid California Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation. • Proficiency in Microsoft software programs (Word/Excel/Outlook) Please submit Resume and cover letter to Barbara Kasey at
