A Construction Risk Manager provides pre-closing construction underwriting support and risk mitigation, along with the review of monthly construction draw requests and construction consultant reports, monitoring construction budgets and risk factors, tracking monthly progress, and making funding recommendations. The US Bancorp Community Development Corporation (USBCDC) portfolio of multifamily commercial loans and tax credit equity investments (the “Assets”) involves Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTCs) and may also include Historic Tax Credits (HTCs) and/or Renewable Energy Tax Credits (RETCs). The Assets are held by USBCDC or other affiliates of US Bank and US Bancorp, and provide tax, cash and CRA benefits to US Bank NA. This position is accountable for reporting on construction performance and risk mitigation to Asset Management, Senior Leadership, and Credit Administration through construction completion of the Assets. Should demonstrate basic analytical and problem-solving skills, along with interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

 

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent work experience
- Five to eight years of experience in financial analysis activities
 
Preferred Skills/Experience
-General real estate or construction background
- Relationship management abilities
- Well-developed written, communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of LIHTC, RETC, HTC tax credit programs and/or lending
- Advanced knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures
- Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills
- Considerable knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and planning
- Expert ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data
